Sustainable Processes - Pigs

   We have about 40 to 50 pigs, which are used for meat at the hotel (sausages, meat, smoke pigs etc.) At the pigs house we collect the pig's manure to decompose it with Californian worms, this top-soil produced is later used in the coffee nursery. The water used in maintaining the pig place clean is also taken to a pond with lilies to clean up and used for irrigation on the cattle pastureland. The food for the pigs comes from left over food at the hotel's restaurant, as well as excess production of any product of the farm.
